Concrete Resurfacing Services

As the old adage goes, first impressions are lasting impressions. People may do their best to not judge a book by its cover or look past physical appearances. Nevertheless, we find ourselves drawn to visually appealing surfaces and put off by unclean, old and damaged ones.

As a homeowner, you understand the value of curb appeal, not only in terms of real estate but also in maintaining your home’s condition. Repairing cracked concrete can be expensive and time-consuming. You don’t have to break up the old concrete and have it re-poured if you have a mildly damaged or worn-out driveway, patio, or sidewalk. This is where resurfacing concrete steps in to save the day.

Resurfaced Concrete

What does it mean to resurface concrete?

The procedure is simple and saves you a significant amount of money compared to pouring new concrete over your existing surfaces. Concrete coating often comes in various decorative finishes, allowing you to personalize the appearance of your floors and concrete surfaces.

The process is hassle-free compared to a full replacement. We’ll give your indoor or outdoor surface a brand new appearance with our resurfacing technique.

There are several different types of concrete mixtures we select from based upon your needs.

The typical composition consists of standard cement that is uniquely combined with fine sands, and polymer modifiers. Additional materials are added to this mixture to help your current concrete with the new. The application process is performed in very thin layers, which is opposite of how traditional concrete mixes are applied.  The result is a thin, powerful and uniform top-layer.

It’s sprayed on top of the current concrete in a thin film. Usually, the sheet is no more than 12 inches thick. Before using the resurfaced area, we recommend waiting at least 24 hours.

Concrete resurfacing is highly durable, even more so than the concrete slab itself. When applied correctly it can be extremely powerful and long-lasting.

We’ve been in the industry for a long time and have one key goal: to put our customers first. That’s why our concrete resurfacing artisans are highly skilled, and we pay close attention to every detail in everything we do.

Concrete Overlays

Concrete overlays are applied on top of your existing concrete. One reason could be for repair, fix dents and small cracks. By evening these blemishes out and filling them in it leaves  a smoother and more durable surface.

There are a variety of ways and options to apply them. Such versatility includes applying layers as thin as a driver’s license or thick as a wood plank. This is achieved without delamination or failure and adhering to current concrete along with are resilient to salt, pollutants, UV rays, freeze-thaw cycles, and abrasion.

It’s important to enhance resistance to wear and tear, beautification qualities and performance. New advancements in how we combine sand, polymer resins with cement and other factors contribute to achieving these standards.

A second reason for overlays is for decorative purposes. Decorative concrete overlays bring eye catching appeal, modernization and interest to your space. Perhaps you’ve just weathered the room, or you’ve removed an old floor. Based upon your preference, our craftsmen will use this technique to mimic any pattern like pavers, rough stones, brick, slate, or even wood for both interior and exterior spaces.

Replace vs. Resurface

Traditionally, any damage, including minor wear and tear, was repaired by dismantling the existing concrete slab and replacing it with a new one. With minor damages, however, it is more cost-effective and resource-conservative.

Resurfacing concrete is an expenditure-efficient option to bring life to your existing concrete floors.

It’s possible you may not even need new concrete if your current surface is in good condition. Therefore, demolition and replacement does not need to be budgeted.

There are so many advantages in addition to renovating your old and worn-out area. Although resurfacing is more streamline and time-efficient than breaking down old concrete and pouring new, we are experienced and equipped to do a full replacement if needed.

Resurfaced concrete Durability

A high-quality resurfacing product can last for decades when properly installed by a professional. The quality of materials in a  DIY resurfacing kit cannot be compared to those used by our experts, and cannot be guaranteed to last as long.

Ultimately, cleaning, repairing, and security go a long way toward ensuring the longevity of your new surface. Make sure you have us seal and re-seal as needed. Sealing adds resilience to future wear and tear for the concrete surfances on and around your home.
